West Point residents arrested in drug bust

On Sept. 13, a joint operation conducted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the West Point Police Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics resulted in the arrest of two West Point residents.

Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said narcotic agents arrested Antone Logan, 28, and Angela Young, 41.

Scott said a large amount of narcotics was confiscated after a search warrant was executed in the 100 block of Meadowhill Road in West Point. A large amount of marijuana, ecstasy, multiple narcotic pills and a stolen firearm were seized by agents.

The estimated street value of the drugs was over $5,000.

Young is incarcerated in the Clay County Detention Center with bond set at $100,000 for the drug charges and a $10,000 bond for an embezzlement charge from the West Point Police Department. Logan is out on a bond of $100,000 for the drug charges.
