West Point will be playing the last-place team in Region 1 tonight, as the Green Wave travels to Saltillo to face the 0-5 Tigers, but head coach Chris Chambless said there has been no change in the way his team has prepared for its opponent.

“Our guys have been locked in and focused and we’ve been able to get a lot of different guys a lot of different reps this week,” Chambless said. “We’ll go up there with our normal goal in mind, and that’s to take care of the game as quick as we can.”

Chambless said he is not worried about what the opponent does, but he is more worried about his team finishing the regular season on a high note.

“We want to finish strong,” Chambless said. “We want to do what we’ve been doing, which is get the game under control and play everybody we can.”

As the Green Wave rolls into the playoff against two teams that likely will not be in the playoffs, the number-one goal, according to Chambless, is keeping players healthy and getting young players repetitions.

“We want to get as many people in the game as possible because that’s going to help us for next year.” Chambless said. “We also want to try and stay healthy these next few weeks.”

West Point will kick-off at Saltillo tonight at 7 p.m.
