The West Point Arts Council presents the newest film by Michael Williams and Shendopen Productions titled KANE in it’s world premiere event at the Ritz in Downtown West Point on March 7th. The premiere event will feature the first screening of KANE, short films made by local youth in West Point, and trailers/previews for other films recently produced in Mississippi. The premiere event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a night where you get to be a part of the swiftly growing independent film community in Mississippi. Meet the cast and crew of the film, enjoy drinks at the cash bar provided by The Ritz, and find out more about the independent film world of Mississippi.
All proceeds from the premiere can go to sending the film to festivals all across the county and to fund Michael Williams’ first feature length film titled OzLand which will be shot in Mississippi and the Midwest this summer.
Kane, the 25 minute super-hero drama, was shot mostly in West Point, MS at locations such as Sopranos and Jordan Ave across from City Hall with some scenes shot in Tupelo, MS. The entire cast and crew are from Mississippi including the stars Glenn Payne of Blue Springs, Casey Dillard of Tupelo, and Cameron Spann of Starkville.
