The Lady Wave gave relentless effort and got it within two points in fourth quarter against the Lady Whippets but never could close the gap in the losing effort. The game against Kusciusko could have dampened first year Coach Kendall Pickens’ spirit, but he knows that this season for his girls is a time to grow into better ball players.
“We have a good group of girls,” said Coach Pickens about his Lady Wave, “[We are] trying to get better until January.”
January is a very important date for the Lady Wave when district season heats up for West Point. West Point’s district consists of New Hope, Saltillo, and Oxford.
