Marion Bratton might have been a little modest.
After all, the Lady Raiders just finished going 3-0 this past weekend at Starkville Sportsplex- College Exposure Showcase.
"The girls played thier best ball this season,” the head coach said. “Errors were way down with solid defense and bats starting to warm up offensively.”
Oak Hill out scored their opponents 27-3 and posted two shutouts to move to 8-6 on the season.
Junior pitcher Maime Allen (7-4)earned three victories giving up a combined six hits and just one earned run.
In the opener, Oak Hill shutout Winston 8-0. Maegen Ellis, finished with a pair of hits, a single and double to lead the girls who combined for nine hits on the day.
Allen, Meg Mcbrayer, Lauren Hitt, Kim Kelly, Hunter Coleman, Codi Williams also found the hit column.
The Lady Raiders gave up three hits in the 9-3 win over Winona Christian School. Allen also struck out nine batters and conceded just one earned run.
Oak Hill smacked 11 hits, all singles on the day led by Anna Lummus who finished with three while teammate Kim Kelly had two.
Oak Hill posted another shutout in a 8-0 win over Central Academy. The Lady Raiders rallied for 11 hits for the second straight game led by Meagen Eliis (double and triple, Lummus (2 singles) and Tori Ellis (2 singles).
