Gola Mae and Ricky Russell of West Point, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Moneaka Lashella Jones, daughter of the late James Earl Bean, to Jesse James Virgil III, son of Helen Jean Virgil and Jessie James Virgil Jr., of Starkville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jessie Russell and Kathleen Bean, of West Point, and the late Sallie V. Jones and the late Ervin Jones.
She is a 2002 graduate of West Point High School, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Alabama State University.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Jessie Virgil Sr., of Starkville, and the late Maggie Virgil, and Beatrice Edwards of Starkville, and the late Lexie Edwards.
He is a 2002 graduate of Starkville High School, and is attending East Mississippi Community College pursuing an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice.
He is currently employed with Sanderson Plumbing Inc.
Wedding vows will be exchanged Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at 6 p.m. at Sally Kate Winters Park, with a reception following.
