Board considers evening meetings; accepts yearly materials bids for district maintenance
BY JUSTIN MINYARD
The prospect of the Clay County Board of Supervisors holding evening meetings was shut down Thursday after the board was unable to come to a solid agreement.
Ideas were bounced around over the course of three days since Monday’s meeting following Clay County resident Bobby Darby’s request for evening board meetings. Following Darby’s request, District 4 Supervisor Shelton Deanes proposed two out of the 36 regularly scheduled board meetings be moved to the evening so as to allot the public an opportunity to listen in on county affairs.
