The rules facilitating legal gambling operations in the state are strict and concise. And local Internet cafe In Touch Enterprises is now on the receiving end of an investigation being conducted by state tax and gaming offices investigators.
According to Mississippi Gaming Commission Deputy Director Jay McDaniel, it’s another tally on the chalk board for the establishment.
“This is not the first time a search warrant has been executed for (this) establishment,” said McDaniel.
At about 3:30 p.m. Thursday of last week, In Touch Enterprises’ operations were temporarily shutdown on suspicion of illicit gambling activities having been conducted inside the building. Although McDaniel did not specify what type of gambling machines were in use at the facility, he said that the equipment discovered in Thursday’s raid was “the same type of equipment” investigators found in the past two raids.
