Caroline Pugh of Tupelo, who recently published her first novel, is the speaker for Luncheon with Books at noon Nov. 7 in the Bryan Public Library. She is a native of Aberdeen and a 1986 graduate of Oak Hill Academy.
"We are always happy to have first-time authors at Luncheon with Books," said Lucille Armstrong, president of Friends of the Library. "Everyone has to build their career, and we enjoy being a stepping stone for Mississippi writers. The fact that she went to school here in West Point makes it very exciting."
Luncheon with Books is sponsored monthly by Friends of the Library as a showcase for Mississippi authors. Lunch is available for a $6 donation and all proceeds are earmarked for the Summer Reading Program at the Bryan Public Library.
