Elizabeth Gwennitta Dean (Holmes) age 32, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Memorial services are at noon, Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at Northside Christian Church, with Pastor Alex Jackson officiating.
Carter’s Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements.

Fletcher James Hicks

Fletcher James Hicks was born Oct. 27, 2014, in Tupelo, the son of Dylan Matthew and Shannon Rhea Hicks. Fletcher passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, in the arms of his parents at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Fletcher was preceded in death by his maternal great - grandmother, Lucy Warren; his maternal great – grandfather, James I. Rhea; his paternal great grandfather, Eugene Hicks; his paternal great grandfather, Harry Kibe; and his paternal great grandfather, Jerry Woods.

Ada Catherine Reynolds Booker

Ada Catherine Reynolds Booker, age 79, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
Mrs. Ada was born Oct. 15, 1935, in Cedar Bluff, the daughter of the late Jesse William and Vera Alverta Sanders Reynolds. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired from Babcock & Wilcox in West Point. She had also worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Fred’s in West Point. She loved Christmas and giving to others. She loved her family and listening to gospel music.

Leona Elizabeth (Topsy) Shirley Wells

Leona Elizabeth (Topsy) Shirley Wells was born in Monroe County, May 31, 1917. She died at the age of 97, Dec. 14, 2014.
At the age of two, her family moved to Clay County. Her father, Milford Bard Shirley, was a farmer, dairyman, Justice of the Peace, supervisor of county roads, and member of the board of supervisors for 16 years. Her mother, Nancy Elizabeth McClellan Shirley was a homemaker. Topsy graduated from West Point High School in 1935, where she ran track and was a star basketball player. In 1938, she married Willard Irwin Wells of Starkville, who preceded her in death.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Third Mt. Olive M.B. Church with Rev. Al Lathan Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation and family hour are 6 – 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Carter Funeral Home.
Carter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

William Robert Cameron, age 78, of Columbus passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at the Regency Hospital in Jackson. He was born Sept. 2, 1936, in Gridley, Calif., to the late Katie Price and Grover Cameron. Mr. Cameron was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter- Day Saints, in Columbus.
Funeral Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 10, 2014 at The Church 0f Jesus Christ Of Latter - Day Saints with Bishop Buck Jolley officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in West Point.

Lloyd Brister, age 87, died of heart failure at his residence in Winona, Monday, Dec. 1, 2014.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at First Baptist Church in Winona, with Dr. Tim Mims, assisted by Rev. John L. Walker and Rev. T. R. Darsey, officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.
Visitation is today, Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, from 4 - 8 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona.
