The annual Boo Parade will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Halloween in downtown West Point.

Growth Alliance director Lisa Klutts said Head Start, Oak Hill, KinderCollege, East Side and other daycare students will dress up in Halloween costumes for the parade.

“Some parents and teachers in the parade will dress up too,” Klutts said.

Klutts said Broad Street from Commerce Street to East Street will be blocked off for an hour beginning at around 8:30 a.m. for the parade.

Klutts said a West Point fire truck will lead the Boo Parade with West Point Police cars to follow.

“This is a fun, annual event we do every Halloween for too many years to count,” Klutts said. “We encourage everyone to come out and watch the parade.”
