WPPD investigating three stolen guns

The West Point Police Department is investigating three firearm thefts stemming from burglaries within the last few weeks.

Assistant Chief Albert Lee said a .38 Ruger handgun with the serial number 54027693 was stolen from a vehicle on June 15.

Lee said WPPD responded to a report of a stolen 9 mm Ruger handgun with the serial number 45189243 on June 16 from a vehicle in the 600 block of Jones Circle. Lee said the department responded to another report on June 16 of a stolen 9 mm Ruger handgun with the serial number 32830625 from a vehicle on the 700 block of Park Circle.

Lee said anyone with any information about these crimes should contact WPPD at 494-1244 or the Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
