The Relay for Life Valentine Bake Sale at North Mississippi Medical Center - West Point has always been a much anticipated fundraiser at the hospital on or around February 14. Since St. Valentines Day is on Sunday this year, the bake sale will take place from 9 a.m. - until everything is gone, Friday, February 12. All proceeds from the bake sale go to Relay for Life.
“We have a change this year for where the bake sale will be,” Brenda Johnson, Human Resources manager at NMMC, said. “We aren’t having it at the front, it will be in the hall by the Education Room. We hope the change won’t keep anyone from stopping by to pick up some goodies.”
The consolidated team from all areas of the hospital will have cakes, cookies, pies, brownies, fudge and all kinds of homemade delights for sale. All of the more than 20 different departments in the hospital will be participating in the bake sale.
“Before we’ve had several teams here at the hospital and the business office team sponsored the bake sale,” Johnson said. “This year the entire hospital is on the same team to raise money for cancer research with Relay for Life.”
