Every address in West Point and Clay County will change in the coming weeks as part of the new 911 mapping program. Post cards featuring the new addresses will go out this week.
The card will feature a picture of the residence or building, along with the owner’s name, new address and old address. Clay County E911 Director Treva Hodge said the cards will be the final error check, and that there will be a number on the card to contact if any of the information is incorrect.
“Addresses won’t change this week, but this is everyone’s chance to make sure everything is correct,” Hodge said. “Look at the picture and make sure that’s your house. Make sure it matches the old address, and call the number on the card if there’s anything wrong.”
