The Tombigbee Regional Library System is made up of ten libraries in Clay, Choctaw, Monroe and Webster counties. At the head of the organization is Tanna Taylor, director or the TRLS, with its headquarters at the Bryan Public Library in West Point. Taylor wanted to do something special for the librarians within the TRLS by hosting a party at the Bryan Public Library for all the staff, December 15. All the libraries were in attendance, except for the staff of the Amory Library, they had a previous event going on and sent their regrets.
“It was the first time everyone had ever tried to get us all together,” Pricillia Ivy, Reference Librarian at the BPL, said. “It was nice to be able to finally meet them. We talk on the phone and email, but most of us had never met face – to – face. It was wonderful. We all share a special bond of what we do. A love of books and a desire to help people. .”
