Michiharu and Kyoko Yoshidomi of Kurume City, Japan, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Emi Yoshidomi, to Jeb McTaggart Elliott, son of John and Barbara Elliott of West Point, Miss.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Michito Yoshidomi from Kurume City, Japan, and Chieko Chikura from Yanagawa City, Japan.
She graduated high school in Japan, and is a 2006 graduate from a dress designing technical school in Fukuoka, Japan.
She recently finished a two year tour working in Ghana for the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The prospective groom is the grandson of Jack Elliott Sr. and the late Jackie Elliott and John and Rosalyn McTaggart both from West Point, Miss.
He is a 2005 graduate of Oak Hill Academy and is a 2009 graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.
He will soon graduate from Flight School for the United States Army where he will go on to Fort Riley, Kan., to fly the UH-60M Blackhawk.
Wedding vows will be exchanged Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Parish in Fort Rucker, Ala. Reception to follow at the Daleville, Ala., Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
