Yokohama makes first in-state hire

Yokohama Tire Manufacturing Mississippi, has taken further steps in solidifying operations at the $300 million facility undergoing construction in West Point. The company, a manufacturing subsidiary of Yokohama Tire Corporation, announced Tuesday it hired its first employee for the West Point operation, Human Resources Manager Melissa Orman.
Orman will be responsible for hiring personnel at YTMM’s new commercial tire plant in West Point, according to Rob Harrelson, YTC vice president of human resources and administration. Groundbreaking for the facility, which is set to open in October 2015, took place on Sept. 23.
