WPPD searching for three armed robbery suspects

The West Point Police Department is looking for three men in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Monday night.

Interim Chief John Langford said WPPD received a call at 9:28 p.m. for an armed robbery at One Stop located on 5972 Highway 45 Alternate South.

After viewing surveillance footage, it was determined there were three suspects that entered the store, and one was armed with a black semi-automatic pistol.

The surveillance footage showed the armed suspect acting as cover while the other two suspects went behind the counter and stole the cash register. They had white t-shirts covering their faces. The suspects were wearing dark colored shirts and dark colored pants. One of the suspects was wearing black shoes, the second was wearing red and black retro Jordan’s, and the third suspect was wearing white and black Jordan's.

The suspects fled the store and ran around the northeast corner of the store.

Langford said this incident is under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151 or the West Point Police Department at 494-1244.
