WPPD investigates stabbing

West Point Police Department investigators are investigating an alleged stabbing in city limits.
Just after 10 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a E-911 dispatch call to the Oak Park apartment complex on Cromwell Street in West Point. Upon arrival, officers found an unidentified man in a vehicle on the premises. The victim had suffered from two stab wounds to the upper torso.
According to a WPPD-issued statement to the media, the man appeared heavily intoxicated, and injuries left him incoherent. The victim was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus for treatment. His condition was unknown as of press time.
