Mrs. Thomas Lawler Word III, of West Point, is pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Jennifer Suzanne Word, daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Lawler Word III, to Dr. Earl Thompson Stubblefield Jr., the son of Dr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson Stubblefield Sr., of Madison.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Simril Howell, and Mrs. Thomas Lawler Word Jr. of Okolona, and the late Mr. Word.
She graduated from Oak Hill Academy and the University of Mississippi, where she was an officer of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
She is currently employed as a teacher at Lafayette High School in Oxford.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. McGee Williamson and Mrs. Graves Crawley Stubblefield Sr. of Jackson and the late Mr. Stubblefield.
He is a graduate of Jackson Academy, the University of Mississippi, where he was an officer of Sigma Chi fraternity, and the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry.
Dr. Stubblefield is in private practice at Stubblefield Dental Clinic in Oxford.
The couple will exchange vows Saturday,May 5, 2012 at 6:30 in the evening at First Baptist Church in West Point. A reception will follow at Old Waverly Golf Club.
