West Point resident taken in after Pit Bulls allegedly found malnourished, without access to water

A West Point woman was arrested on charges of animal neglect and resisting arrest Tuesday in West Point.
According to a West Point Police Department incident report, Debora Moore of 507 E. Churchill Road, was taken into custody after officers discovered at least two Pit Bulls restrained improperly without access to food or water. A third Pit Bull was reported dead, allegedly left in a barrel on the property.
According to the report, officers responded to a call reporting the dead animal Monday near Greenwood Cemetery. WPPD officers in conjunction with West Point animal control, observed the remaining two animals appeared to be “malnourished” with “no food or water in the area.”
