The West Point soccer program continued its regular season play on Tuesday night against New Hope.
The Lady Green Wave players fell 4-1 in the early game, and the boys dropped the second match 6-2.
Brooke Scott provided the loan goal for West point in the girls game, which was tied 1-1 going into the half. New Hope got three in the second half for the win.
“We’re struggling right now, but we’re going to get better,” said head soccer coach Keith Manning of the rebuilding program.
The boys were down by just one going into the second half of their game, trailing 3-2 at the end of the first.
“They hung in there for a half,” Manning said. “They lost momentum in the second half.”
Hayden Camp scored both goals for the Green Wave.
West Point is set to host Choctaw Central tonight, starting at five. The boys will play at 6:30. There will be home games on Saturday, starting at 11 against district rival Saltillo.
