West Point, OHA host Homecomings

The West Point Green Wave and the Oak Hill Raiders host their annual Homecoming games tonight in West Point. Both games kick off at 7.
West Point (3-2; 0-1 Region 1-5A) squares off against the Clarksdale Wildcats (4-2; 1-0 Region 1-5A) at McCallister Field on the campus of West Point High School. The Wave hopes to secure its first conference win after a 50-28 loss to the Oxford Chargers. West Point has started district play with a loss for three straight seasons. The school's Homecoming festivities start at 6 p.m.
For the Raiders (4-2; 0-1 MAIS District 2-AA), they tilt against conference foe Columbus Christian Academy (0-7; 0-1 MAIS District 2-AA) on OHA's campus. The Winona Christian Stars defeated Oak Hill 24-7 last week.
In MAIS 8-man football action, the Hebron Christian Eagles (4-1; 1-0 District 2-A) travel to Meridian. The Eagles square off against the Calvary Christian Cougars (1-5; 0-3 District 3-A) at 7. Hebron hopes to extend its winning streak to five games.
