West Point backfield 3 pack punch

August 28, 2013

In the recent seasons, West Point has had what many would say were some of the most dangerously potent backfield combinations that have worn the green-and-white and terrorized defenses.

During the 2010 state championship season, it was senior quarterback Justin Cox and senior running back Lakendric Thomas pounding away at the MHSAA 5-A classification. The following season, senior quarterback/tailback Dequinten Spraggins and junior running back Tez Lane joined forces, causing havoc for many opponents. Last season, it was the backfield duo of thunder and lightning as Lane – making the switch to quarterback – paired with junior running back Aeris Williams – both bringing a special dynamic to the huddle.
