West Point arts coming and going

August 7, 2013

Everyone driving through West Point on Hwy. 45 Alt., will be sure to notice that this is the home of the Howlin’ Wolf Blues Festival and the Prairie Arts Festival. Soon new large aluminum adaptations of the poster art from both festivals will be added to the Welcome to West Point signs on the North and South end of at the city limits. The signs will attract attention as people are coming into and leaving West Point. The new four by eight ft. signs will let people who are visiting our state on the Blues Trail know this is the birthplace of Blues Legend, Chester Arthur Burnett.
