Wave head to Louisville, OHA to face Leake Academy on the road

December 13, 2012

Earlier this week, West Point played host to Kosciusko. The Lady Wave could not keep their momentum going Tuesday night as the Lady Whippets defeated West Point 44-35. The Green Wave though got back on track with a huge win over Kosciusko 75-29.
Friday night, West Point travels down Highway 25 to Louisville to take on the Lady Wildcats and Wildcats in what should be two great ballgames.
The Lady Wave will need to have a big team effort to beat the Lady Wildcats. Though the Lady Wildcats record is not strong, Head Coach Kendall Pickens and his Lady Wave will want to find a win Friday night.
The Green Wave will want to continue their momentum as Louisville will be their second true road game. The last road game did not go the way of West Point when Aberdeen defeated the Wave 88-66 last Friday night. This Friday, West Point will hope to ride home happy and with the second win of the week.
Oak Hill heads to Leake Academy
A tough opponent stands in from the Oak Hill Friday night as Leake Academy of Madden will host the Lady Raiders and Raiders.
The Lady Raiders have been very dominant on the court as Oak Hill’s girls are a tough team to beat. After picking up two wins this past weekend, the Lady Raiders will hope to start this weekend off with a win over the Lady Rebels.
Oak Hill’s boys have been a strong team on the court. The Raiders will have strong opponent against Leake as the Rebels too are a very strong team. It should be a battle in Madden for a well-deserved win for either team.
Hebron Christian hosts Starkville Christian
Hebron Christian will return home to play against Starkville Christian a team Hebron faced off against in November.
The Lady Eagles won the last contest between Hebron and Starkville Christian. Though the game was low-scoring, the Lady Eagles and Lady Cougars played a very tight contest which came down to the final seconds. This Friday night game should not disappoint as both teams will want to put another victory on their record.
The Eagles will be looking for redemption as Starkville Christian defeated Hebron in overtime 55-53. Two equally matched teams will take on each other Friday and the Eagles will hope to get by the Cougars this time.
