Wall, Ratcliff Wedding
Jessica Nichole Wall and Charles David Ratcliff were united in holy matrimony at 7 p.m. July 16, 2011. The ceremony took place at the Chapel of Memories located on the campus of Mississippi State University.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Clifton Wall Jr. of Starkville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Allen Forrester of Pheba, and the late Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wall Sr. .
The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davis Ratcliff of Canton. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown Ratcliff of Canton and Mrs. James Cunningham Morgan of Greenwood, and the late Mr. James Cunningham Morgan.
The double-ring ceremony was conducted by Rev. Scott Cappleman. Nuptial music was provided by Shandy Phillips, violin; Courtney Kinzer, cello; and Ricky Prewitt, piano. Ann Johnson served as the wedding coordinator.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory organza gown by Mori Lee. The strapless gown featured a fitted ruched bodice of organza overlays with beaded Alencon lace underneath. The mermaid style skirt flared into a chapel length train. The cathedral length veil was an elegant triple layer blunt edge veil of illusion. The bride carried a French clutch of bridal white Vandella and Porcelona roses. The stems were wrapped with ivory satin ribbon accented with white pearls and draped with her late grandmotherâ€™s handkerchief.
Attending the bride as matrons of honor were Anna Killingsworth, Kelli Peacock, and Lauren Tehan. Bridesmaids were Sara Ratcliff, sister of the groom, Christina Lenarduzzi, Amber Richards, Bethani Whittington, and Jenny Farnham. The bridesmaids wore sage, A-line gowns by Allure. The strapless gowns were floor length chiffon with a fitted bodice and a sweetheart neckline. Sarah Heurkamp served as the brideâ€™s proxy. Isabella and Kendall Wall, nieces of the bride, served as the flower girls.
The groomâ€™s father, Charles Ratcliff served as best man. Groomsmen were Trey Wall, brother of the bride, Will Crawford, Matthew Horton, Michael Magee, David Morgan, Clay Adams, and John Rhodes Farnham. J.C. Wall, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the historic Hotel Chester on Main Street. The brideâ€™s cake was a four-tier, vanilla cake covered with ivory butter cream icing. The top of the cake was covered with white roses that cascaded down the base where roses surrounded the cake plateau. The groomâ€™s cake was one large chocolate tier with a criss-cross pattern of chocolate covering the sides. An MSU logo in maroon butter cream icing adorned the top of the cream cheese icing underlay. Music was performed by the band The Flames of Starkville.
On the eve of the wedding the groomâ€™s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Central Station Grill. Earlier that day a bridesmaidâ€™s luncheon was held at Harveyâ€™s restaurant hosted by the grandmother, mother and aunt of the bride.
Following a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple is at home in Flowood, Mississippi, where the bride is a Registered Nurse with The Womenâ€™s Clinic and the groom is a dental resident at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
