The Hebron Eagles picked the right time to go on a win streak.
Following a 32-0 win over Calhoun Academy on Oct. 23, the Eagles have won three consecutive games. Hebron has averaged 33 points per game during those three weeks while their defense has only allowed eight points.
First Quarter Hebron (4-5) put up two touchdowns in the first quarter - both by fullback Ryan Pinnix. Pinnix's first score came from eight yards out. He followed it up later in the first quarter with a 3-yard scamper. Blake Harrell converted the two-point conversion.
Second Quarter Hebron kept their offense churning in the second quarter by scoring two additional touchdowns. This time Hebron got both of their touchdowns from quarterback Yance Falkner. He scored from 18 and nine yards out.
Third Quarter The Eagles scored their final touchdown of the night when lineman Jacob Crow got in on the action by scoring his first touchdown of the season.
Statistical Look Hebron had a whopping 397 rushing yards (424 total). Harrell led the Eagles defensively with six tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception. Jordan Jackson, Falkner, Hearne Foster and Mitch Fondren led added four tackles each.
Next Up Hebron will be playing their final game of the regular season when they travel Friday night to face Winona Christian. Winona (6-2) is coming off a 30-0 win over Strider Academy. If Hebron can defeat Winona by 13 points or more, the Eagles will be the number one seed in the playoffs. If not, they will be number two.
