Oak Hill senior football players Jeremy Dickens and Jake Flanagan are this week's Feature Friday.  Oak Hill will be on the road to face top-ranked Marshall Academy Friday night.

Oak Hill is officially in the playoffs.  But before they begin the post-season, the Raiders have to take on both Marshall and Winston Academy.
Marshall Academy (7-1), who has won their district two of the last three years, won the District 1-AA championship last week following a 19-6 win over Indianola Academy.
This week, the Raiders will be making their way down US Highway 78 to Holly Springs to face the Patriots.  In order to come away with a victory, they will need a big game from their seniors.
Jeremy Dickens and Jake Flanagan are two of those seniors.
A 20-12 win over Manchester on Oct. 12 guaranteed the Raiders a spot in the playoffs.
The close win over Manchester has been Dickens’ most memorable moment, he said.
“It was special to beat Manchester to go to the playoffs,” Dickens said.
Although Oak Hill lost their first four games, the Raiders always knew what they were capable of, he said.
“We came into the season with a positive attitude knowing we couldwin and go to the playoffs,” Dickens said.  “And we have.”
Flanagan, who has plans to major in sports medicine at Mississippi State, said the season has been a work in progress.
“It (Oak Hill’s season) has and it hasn’t met my expectations,” he said.  “I thought we could do better at some spots.  But as far as the playoffs go, I’m glad we’re in.”
Before the playoffs crank up, Oak Hill has to play a tough matchup against Marshall.
Dickens said the team knows what they have to do to win.
“We have to show up,” he said.  “And we have to play determined.
Flanagan agrees.
“We have to play as hard as we can,” he said.  “And I have to make the hits that I need to make.”
Both seniors said they have enjoyed their time at Oak Hill and will remember their time spent on the football field.
“I’m going to miss football more than anything,” Dickens said.
The same goes for Flanagan.
“I’m going to miss being on the field with my friends and teammates,” Flanagan said.
