Vickie Carol Weaver, 58, passed away Feb. 1, 2014, at Darlington Oaks Community Hospice in Verona.
Mrs. Vickie was born Dec. 10, 1955, in Houston, the daughter of the late James Davis and Christine Garrett Doss. She was a member of The Church of Christ. She was the former Owner and Operator of Foodland Café. She married David Lamar Weaver July 2, 1987, in West Point.
Funeral services are Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at 10 a.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Yarber officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband David L. Weaver; daughter, Lajeanna York; two sons: Clifton Everett Laster (Rita) and Billy Jim Laster all of West Point. four grandchildren: Vexie York, Chelsea Laster, Jacob Laster, and Haley Laster; and one great grandson, Brantley Sinko; one brother, Donald Joe Doss of El Dorado, Texas. In addition to her parents, Vickie was predeceased by her brother, James Mitchell Doss.
Pallbearers are Shea Terry, Timmy Doss, Brad Doss, Rocky Swindell, Alex Alsobrooks, and Jacob Laster.
Honorary pallbearers are Nurses and Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo, Nurses and Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point, and the Nurses & Staff of Darlington Oaks Community Hospice in Vernona.
Visitation is today, Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, 5 – 8 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
