Verna Lou Ellis Vickers

A memorial service for Verna Lou Ellis Vickers will be conducted Friday, March 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 5 - 7 p.m. and Friday at 1 p.m. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Born August 27, 1922, Mrs. Vickers died in Jackson, March 12, 2013.
She was a life-long resident of West Point and Clay County until 2006, when she moved to Madison, to be near her son and his family.
Mrs. Vickers was a retired Vice President at Bancorp South Bank in West Point, where she worked for fifty-four years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Point.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Vickers, and her parents, William Henry and Katie Lee Ellis.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Vickers, and his wife, Jeannie, of Ridgeland, two grandsons, Drew Vickers and his wife, Beth, of Bartlett, Tenn., and Scott Vickers and his wife, Joy of Brandon, and a
sister, Peggy White, of West Point
Memorials may be made to the Remodeling Fund at Calvary Baptist Church, 460 McCord Street, West Point, MS 39773, the Building Fund at Grace Bible Church, 380 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS 39157, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
