Friends of the Library held their fourth Valentine Bake Sale at the Bryan Public Library Thursday. Goodies galore, cakes pies, cookies, brownies and all sorts of sweet treats were for sale. They also had a raffle for six gift certificates from The Bink, a huge gift basket from Rose Drug Co., copies of Bonefire of the Vanities and Bones of Feather autographed by Carolyn Haines, Moon Underfoot by Bobby Cole were donated by Friends, Dinner for 2 from The Ritz, Lunch for 2 from Nightingaleâ€™s Pantry, a $50 gift certificate from Windmill Antiques, a dozen long stemmed red roses from Flowers by Shirley, and a huge box of Annie Fryâ€™s Homemade Fudge. All proceeds go toward the Summer Reading Program and other events at the library courtesy of Friends. Friends of the Library held their drawing for donated prizes during the Valentine Bake Sale at 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Deborah Wray held the bear shaped container while Bettye Hawkins pulled out the winning names. The One Dozen Red Roses donated by Flowers by Shirley were won by Lewise Jackson, the $50 gift certificate from the Windmill Antiques was won by Wendy Childress, Dinner for 2 at The Ritz was won by Connie Smith, Lunch for 2 donated by Nightingaleâ€™s Pantry was won by Brenda Edwards, a large Gift Basket donated by Rose Drug Co., was won by Laura Williamson, the huge box of Annie Fryâ€™s Homemade Fudge was won by Velma Caskey, Gift Certificateâ€™s from The Bink were won by Linda Malone, Valerie Hargrove, Debbie McComack, Claire Craig, Chelsea Malone, Peggy Coleman, Moon Underfoot was won by Paul Carpenter, autographed copy of Bones of a Feather by Carolyn Haines was won by Iralita Gibbs, autographed copy of Bonefire of the Vanities was won by Marcia Strickland and a set of Jewelry was won by Monte Brasfield.
