US Marshals arrest local in armed robbery

July 10, 2014

Special to Daily Times Leader

A West Point man is in custody for an alleged May armed robbery incident through a collaborative effort from Starkville Police Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force Oxford Division.
According to an SPD press release, the Fugitive Task Force contacted the department Tuesday to notify officials that it had arrested 21-year-old Charterious “Little Murl” Moore on suspicion of armed robbery.
SPD issued a $25,000 warrant for Moore’s arrest in late May after a reported armed robbery in which the department reported three suspects robbed a victim at gunpoint near the intersection of Pecan Lane and Reed Road in the Reed Place subdivision in Starkville. The department reported the victim was shot during the incident and received treatment for his wounds at OCH Regional Medical Center.
