Turner officially joins state Senate

District 16 Senator Angela Turner, (right), was sworn in on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, taking the same seat that was held by her father, the former Senator Bennie L. Turner, who held the seat from 1993, until his passing on November 27, 2012. Her mother, Edna Turner, is holding the Bible. Senator Angela Turner was well received by fellow members and has said that she will begin immediately to attend committee meetings and participate in the budget process. See more on page 5.
