Traffic stop nets driver meth charge

A Clay County man was arrested late Monday evening on Hwy. 45 S. Alt. after a routine traffic stop allegedly yielded methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said Jonathon D. Fleming, 40, was taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine — a felony, punishable by up to three years if convicted — possession of paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and improper equipment, after a canine unit search.
