CENTREVILLE — The Centreville Tigers (10-1; 4-0 District 6-AA) used an early first quarter lead to outlast Oak Hill in the second-half, 59-34, for a MAIS Class-AA first-round playoff win on the campus of Centreville Academy.
Oak Hill entered halftime trailing Centreville, 30-6. The Tigers jumped out to a 23-0 first quarter lead and would score again in the second-quarter to extend their lead over Oak Hill before halftime.
The Raiders (5-6; 2-3 District 2-AA), facing elimination, came out in the second-half and challenged the Tiger defense scoring 28 points in the final two quarters of action. The late offensive surge was not enough though, as Centreville scored 29 points in the second-half.
