Three arrested on meth charges

February 20, 2014

Three Clay County men are facing methamphetamine charges, following an eight-month investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
According to MBN Public Relations Coordinator Delores Lewis, officers conducted an investigatory traffic stop on Feb. 12 which led to the execution of a search warrant at a West Point residence. The search allegedly yielded some 13 grams of methamphetamine.
Officers arrested Jimmy Latham III, 26, of West Point, on possession of methamphetamine; Ricky Forrester, 55, of Cedar Bluff, on possession of methamphetamine; and Gary Kuhn, 58, of West Point, on possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
All three are being housed in the Clay County Detention Center. Latham's bond was set at $5,000; No bond was set for Forrester or Kuhn due to a Mississippi Department of Corrections hold for probation violation.
Latham and Forrester were set to appear in Clay County Justice Court for arraignment Thursday; Kuhn was expected to appear for arraignment later in the week.
