Thomas J. "T. J." Conner

Thomas J. "T. J." Conner, age 78, passed away, Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at the Kosciusko Veterans Home, in Kosciusko. Thomas J. "T. J." Conner was born June 16, 1932, in Shuqualak, to the late Jennie Mariah Rosser and Melvin J. Conner. He was a maintenance superintendent Artex International for 22 years. Mr. Conner was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a Lifelong member of Disabled American Veterans. Thomas J. "T. J." Conner married Flois Pruitt Conner Sept. 18, 1981, in Carrollton, Ala., she preceded him in death on June 1, 2008.
Funeral services are Sunday, Oct.r 24, 2010, at 2 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters: Judy Conner of West Point, and Mary Evelyn McClung of Ferriday, La.; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters: Edna Mae Wiliams of Guntown, Mable Wilson of Dekalb. His son, Donald Conner in 1975, Teresa Bishop in 1997, also predeceased him.
Pallbearers are Laddie Huffman, Bobby Wilbourne, Basil Miller, Kim Thompson, Charles Anderson, Kenny Ingram, Jimmy Little, Gary Dedeaux, Sam Barclay, and Mark Randle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Friends and former co-workers at Artex International.
Visitation is Sunday, from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
