Tatar, Hughes Wedding

Stacey Dawn Tatar and Robert Gilliland Hughes exchanged wedding vows Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 6 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro, Tenn., in a lovely summer ceremony. The altar was backed by arrangements of pink and ivory roses. The flowers were placed in loving memory of the bride's sister, Michelle Tatar.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. James K. Polk VanZandt. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lee Tatar of Steubenville, Ohio. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Collins Hughes of West Point.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, she wore a beautifully beaded ivory lace gown with an elegant sweep train and a charmeuse sash. She wore her sister, Kristin Wead's veil, which was floor length ivory with satin trim. She carried a bouquet of pink and ivory roses. Kristen Tatar Wead was matron of honor. She wore an off-the-shoulder black satin dress with a pleated bodice. Father of the groom, Robert Hughes, served as best man, Aubrey Elaine Wead, niece of the bride, was flower girl and nephew, Matthew Douglas Wead, was ring bearer. Readers were Scott Haaga Hughes, brother of the groom and Kristin Tatar Wead. Presenting the wedding music was Angela Tripps.
A seated dinner was held in honor of the newlyweds at B McNeel's Restaurant.
After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple now makes their home in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
