Susanne Miller Campbell
Susanne Miller Campbell, age 86, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Mrs. Campbell was born Mar. 14, 1924, in Delray Beach, Fla., to the late George L. Miller Sr. and Katie Dominick. She moved to West Point at the age of five and had been a resident ever since.
Mrs. Campbell married John Robert Campbell Jan. 3, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was employed by First National Bank for 40 years, serving as Vice President and Assistant Trust Officer. Mrs. Campbell was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church and Wesly Wason Sunday School Class.
Funeral services are today, Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at 11 a.m. from Robinson Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point.
Pallbearers are Carlisle Campbell, Eugene Bailey, George Hinnant, Bob Wyman, Tommy Miller, Carlisle Beggerly, John Robert Beggerly and Johnny Littlefield.
Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Whitmire, Ray Bennett, Rush Robinson, Luke Robinson, Robbie Robinson, Stokes Smith, George Barry Jr., Sam Berry. Gene Baldwin, Dr. John Cox and the ICU Nursing Staff at NMMC - West Point.
She is survived by one daughter, Kay C. Beggerly of Florence, Miss.; two grandsons: Carlisle Beggerly of Brandon, Miss., John Robert Beggerly of Florence, Miss.; one brother, Thomas Nealy Miller of West Point, Miss.; four sisters-in-law: Mary Frances Miller, Grace Cliett, Marie Watson and Rachael W. Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Dr. George L. Miller Jr.
