We are nearing the conclusion of the 2013-14 basketball campaign, and it should be an entertaining finish for our Daily Times Leader teams.
January represents the final month of the regular season – the final countdown per se. This month is the 31 days where non-district games become less important and district games become the key games on the docket. January is the month where postseason aspirations change in a matter of seconds before tournament-time in February.
Hoping to hit their best strides in the final two weeks of the regular season, the six DTL-area basketball teams all face different obstacles in the pursuit for postseason glory. With so much going on how can one make sense of the home stretch.
I start this two-part, in-depth analysis looking at the three boys teams in the area and their hunts for a high seed in their respective conference tournaments.

West Point High School

The West Point Green Wave (17-2; 1-0 District 2-5A) are enjoying a great run of form and remain undefeated in 2014, following Tuesday night’s road win over the Louisville Wildcats, 77-55.
