The pre-sale for Sally Kate Winters Family Services Christmas Fundraiser ends Nov. 1.

Sally Kate Winters Memorial Children’s Home, which was founded in 1990, provides emergency shelter and other programs for numerous abused, neglected and runaway children.

Long sleeve, Comfort Color T-shirts are for sale for $20 in XS-L youth sizes and S-2XL adult sizes. Hand painted tiles are for sale for $12.

SKW Outreach Coordinator Abigail Stricklin said Christmas ornaments were new this year and are for sale for $16.

“We have two annual fundraisers,” Stricklin said. “We have a 5K in the spring, and this is our Christmas one. This is our biggest fundraiser.”

Stricklin said Petal Pushers owner and SKW Board of Directors member Scott Reed designed this year’s T-shirt, and the ornaments and tiles are hand painted at Jilly Bean’s Pail of Paint in Starkville.

Stricklin said the money raised during the fundraiser would go toward all SKW programs and Christmas gifts for children in the shelter.

“We have a lot of people donate money during Christmas time, but if we need to use this money for Christmas gifts for the kids we will,” Stricklin said.

Stricklin said after the pre-sale ends, the purchased items can be picked up at the SKW office, located at 317 North Division Street, or delivered by mail.

“After the pre-sale ends, items can still be purchased as supplies last,” Stricklin said.
