Schools celebrate Grandparents Day

September 6, 2013

The West Point School District is recognizing the importance of grandparents in the lives of children. Grandparents of third graders at South Side Elementary were invited to come and have lunch with the students in honor of Grandparents Day. The children proudly showed off grandparents to friends and teachers.

“We always love to have our grandparents visit,” said Principal Shirley Gibson. “We have excellent participation from our parents and grandparents on special days.”
