Sara Dichiara, age 90, passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
She was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Cefalu, Sicily to the late Charlie Dichiara and Nettie Dichiara.
Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Jeffrey Waldrep officiating. Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joey Michael, Joe Waldrep, A.R. Parks, Robbie Robinson, David Dichiara, Paul Caskey. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Bigham, Robert Elliott, Burt Nix, Jaimy Towery, Kenny Dill, Donnie Domino, Marion Johnson, James Sumner, Billy Buck Staggers, Dr. T.N. Braddock, Millard Long, Don Newman. A Rosary was Saturday at 9:15 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She is survived by her brother, Frank Dichiara; two nephews: Charlie Dichiara (Lynda), and Leonard Dichiara (Debbie) all of West Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers: Tony Dichiara and Sam Dichiara.
