Ruby Steele Henley, age 97, passed away, Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at the Community Hospice-Darlington Oaks, in Verona, Miss.
Ruby Steele Henley was born Dec. 23, 1913 in Chickasaw County, Miss. to the late Ollie Carter Pate and Raymond L. Steele. Mrs. Henley was a seamstress for Knickerbocker Manufacturing Company for 30 years. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
Graveside funeral services are today, Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Lampkin officiating, burial will follow. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three sons: Charles H. Henley, Jr. (Pamelia) of Loxley, Ala., Jessie Lee Henley (Sue) of Brewer, Miss., James A. Henley (Brenda) of Prairie, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Ramona Dees of Houston, Texas.
Pallbearers are George Knox, Chester Powers, Wayne Crosswhite, Billy Barnette, Dennis Pettit, Barry Vanlandingham, and James Crump.

Visitation is today, 10:45 a.m. at the graveside until service time.
