Ruby Conerly Ballard

Ruby Conerly Ballard, 77, passed away, on June 26, 2013, at her home, in Pickensville, Alabama.
Mrs. Ruby Conerly Ballard was born February 24, 1936, in Monroe County, the daughter of the late
Preston Johnston and Ethel Adelaide Bush Conerly.  She was the Bookkeeper for Ballard and Hudspeth Construction Company.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pickensville, AL, and a member of the West Point Red Hat Society.  She married Edward Stinson Ballard, Sr. on January 10, 1953, and he passed away January 20, 2007. 
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son: Edward Stinson Ballard, Jr; by four Sisters: Emma Roebuck, Mamie Jackson, Marjorie Conerly, and Joanne Westbrook; and by four Brothers: Preston, Walter, Lonnie, and Willie Conerly.   
Funeral services are Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Stan Ballard officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. 
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Terry Ballard Geer (Mahlon) of Columbus and Karen Ballard Cockrell of Starkville; son, Richard Ballard (Beverly) of Louisville. 11 grandchildren: Will Ballard (Jamie), Dane Ballard (Keli), Luke Ballard, Elisabeth Golson (Tyler), Kylie Moody, Chad Moody (Hope), Jeffery Moody, Jesse Geer, Justin Cockrell, Alaina Cockrell, and Kristen Cockrell. six great grandchildren: Brayden Moody, Dalton Moody, Conerly Moody, Hayes Moody, Sutton Ballard, and Holden Hollingsworth. Brother, Jim Conerly (Joyce) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Will Ballard, Dane Ballard, Luke Ballard, Kiley Moody, Chad Moody, Jeffery Moody, Justin Cockrell, Jesse Geer, Jonny Haney,  and Buck Morgan.
Memorials may be made to Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, Post Office Box 908, Bellmawr, NJ 08099 or to First Baptist Church, 119 Old Mill Road, Pickensville, AL  35447-4125.
Visitation is today, Friday June 28, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
