Robert David Hemphill
Robert David Hemphill, age 55, passed away, Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Robert David Hemphill was born Dec. 1, 1955, in West Point, Miss., to Arthur Robert Hemphill and the late Mary Ruth Bedford Hemphill. He was a truck driver and a member of First Baptist Church. Robert David Hemphill married Tobie Brown Hemphill June 24, 1976, in West Point, Miss.
Graveside funeral services are Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Tobie Brown Hemphill of West Point' one son, Robert Michael Hemphill of West Point; one grandson, Robert Michael Hemphill, Jr. and his mother, Shelley Hooker Hemphill; his father Arthur Robert Hemphill of West Point; two sisters: Nancy Hemphill Taylor of Tupelo, Miss.; and Carol Hemphill Vest of Jacksonville, Fla.
Pallbearers are Justin Klutts, Terry Pitts, James Beatty, Nathan Sinko, Jackie Stovall, and Pete Portera.
Honorary pallbearers are the East-West Motor Freight Company co-workers of Selmer, Tenn., Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Jr.,
Dr. Julian Hill, Dr. Kristopher Whitehead, North MS Health Care Staff, and Staff and Nurses of North Miss., Medical Center - West Point.
