Richard Noel ‘Richie’ Rape

Richard Noel “Richie” Rape, age 47, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Richie was born Sept. 30, 1966, in West Point. the son of Richard Rape and the late Ida Bess Langford Rape. He worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for Clay County. He also worked at Artex in the Dye Department. He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. Richie loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid Nascar Fan, and he especially loved the Earnhardts. He married Brenda Carol Bateman Rape July 16, 1988, in West Point.
Funeral services are Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 10 a.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Zane D. Parker II officiating. Burial will follow in Enon/Big Springs Cemetery near Cedar Bluff.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda C. Rape; one daughter, Chelsea Paige Rape; one son, Austin Cole Rape; and his father Richard Rape all of West Point; Richie was preceded in death by his mother: Ida Bess Langford Rape.
Pallbearers are Kenny Wilkerson, Tyler Wilkerson, Ricky Gibson, Kris Keel, and Little Buddy Bateman.
Honorary Pallbearers are Sheila Doss - A Special Friend to Richie and his family, and the nurses and staff of Sanctuary Hospice House.

Visitation is today, Wednesday, June 18, 2014, from 5 – 8 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
