RFL fundraisers and volunteers gathered Wednesday at the Ritz to discuss fundraising goals and logistics for the Relay event.

Civic-minded volunteers flocked to the Ritz Theater and Conference Center Wednesday to attend a Relay For Life luncheon, which marked the beginnings of a 3-month fundraising campaign to garner funds and awareness for future cancer research leading up to RFL’s main event come May 16.

“It was our Relay kickoff, which is what we do to kind of literally kick off the relay season,” West Point Relay For Life Committee Member Anne Comer said. “It’s for anybody interested in participating ... It’s just a time that we come together to talk logistically about the event, when it is, and have people sign up for teams and provide information on how to do that.”
