Rebecca Synclair Carter
Rebecca Synclair Carter, age 8 of Caledonia, Miss., passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, in Columbus, Miss.
Visitation is today, Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, from 12 â€“ 2:30 p.m. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, Miss. Graveside Services are Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010. at 3 p.m. at Vaughn Cemetery, Caledonia, Miss., with Bro. Martin Gardner and Bro. Ezell Simon officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, Miss., directing.
Miss Carter was born Mar. 25, 2002, in Amory, Miss., to Reid David and Cynthia Diane Davis Carter and was a resident of Caledonia, Miss., for the past 5 years having moved from West Point, Miss. She was a member of ARC of Lowndes County, Miss., Gutter Busters bowling league and softball league at Columbus/Lowndes Park and Recreation. Miss Carter loved Elmo and Dora The Explorer DVDâ€™s and loved playing on the computer, especially Sesame Street.
In addition to her parents, Miss Carter is survived by her sister, Kayla Carter, of Caledonia, Miss.; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Betty Carter, of West Point, Miss., and maternal grandparent, Linda Hill, of West Point, Miss.
Pallbearers are her family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are the past and present teachers at New Hope School and T.K. Martin at Mississippi State, Dr. Jacob Skiwiski and staff and the West Point Childrenâ€™s Clinic.
